  • How to use

    The tommee tippee digital bath & room thermometer is quick, accurate and easy to use. This thermometer will help ensure your baby is comfortable during bath and sleep time.

    The optimal temperature for a baby bath is at body temperature, between 36.5°C and 38°C.

    The optimal room temperature for baby is approximately 18°C.

    MEASURING ROOM TEMPERATURE

    1. Gently tap the thermometer on a hard surface to activate the display.
    2. Temperature will be displayed within a few seconds.

    MEASURING BATH TEMPERATURE

    1. Gently tap the thermometer on a hard surface to activate the display.
    2. Stir water to avoid hot areas.
    3. Place the thermometer in the bath.
    4. Temperature will be displayed within a few seconds.
    5. When the temperature is above 39°C the LED light will illuminate. Reduce water temperature by adding cold water.
    6. When removed from bath, wipe dry.

  • How to clean

    • The thermometer is waterproof and can be wiped clean with water or cleaning lotion.
    • After using the thermometer in water, please wipe clean and allow to dry between uses.
  • How to replace the batteries

    The thermometer is fitted with one CR2032 battery and has a life of about 1 year. After this time, when the display is dimmed the battery may need to be replaced by following the below instructions.

    1. Open the battery cover by turning it anticlockwise using a suitable tool.
    2. If the battery door is tightly embedded and does not come open easily, use a thin tool to gently lever at the edge of the battery door.
    3. Take out and replace the battery with a new CR2032 sized battery. Dispose of used battery according to the instructions.
    4. When replacing the battery ensure the waterproof ring is in the correct position in the groove of the outer ring (fig. 1).
    5. Line up the three lugs on the battery door with the three grooves on the back of the thermometer and secure battery cover by turning clockwise (fig. 2). Examine the thermometer and make sure the battery compartment is secure.

  • Who is this thermometer suitable for?

    Suitable for use from birth and can be used for the whole family.

  • Does the thermometer require batteries?

    Yes, 1x CR2032 battery is provided with the product so it can be used straight away after purchase

  • What is the unit of measurement used to measure temperature?

    This thermometer provides temperature readings in Celsius.

  • How quickly will the temperature reading be displayed?

    Gently tap the unit to activate the display and the temperature will be displayed in Celsius on the clear LCD screen, in just 3 seconds.

    When used in the bath, the thermometer will float in the water and capture temperature readings every 5 seconds to give you peace of mind that the water is between 36.5°C and 38°C, the optimum temperature for a comfortable and safe baby bath.

  • How accurate are the temperature readings?

    This digital thermometer provides a precise reading with an accuracy of +/-1°C

  • How does the high temperature alert function work?

    If the water temperature exceeds 39˚C, a handy red warning light will illuminate on the screen to alert you that the water is too hot.

  • Is the thermometer waterproof?

    Yes, the thermometer is fully waterproof and floats in water for quick bath water readings.

  • Will the thermometer automatically switch off when not in use?

    The auto switch-off function will ensure the thermometer switches off if the back of the unit isn’t in contact with either water or the stand, so you don’t have to worry about wasting the battery if you forget to switch it off.
