Getting Started

Do you have a question about using your Tommee Tippee Baby Food Blender? Find the answers here.

The Department of Health recommends that solid food should not be introduced before your baby is 6 months old. You can start earlier (but not before 4 months) if advised by your health visitor or GP.

PARTS GUIDE

A step by step guide to all the component parts, how they fit together and what they do.

SETTING UP YOUR BABY FOOD BLENDER FOR FIRST USE:

Before first use and after every use, wash the bowl and lid in warm soapy water or use a dishwasher (top shelf only) and dry thoroughly.

Wash the knife blade in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. The knife blade is not dishwasher safe. Handle the knife blade carefully as it is extremely sharp.

To assemble your baby food blender

  1. Place the bowl on to the base, line up the bowl tab to the locking bowl slot.

  2. Turn the bowl counter-clockwise until it locks into place.

  3. Slide the knife blade down over the shaft and turn until it drops into place. WARNING! Handle the knife blade carefully as it is extremely sharp.

  4. Place the lid onto the bowl, with the extended tab on the same side as the base slot and turn the cover counter-clockwise into the base slot as far as it will go.

WARNING! For your safety this unit has both a lid and bowl safety interlock system. It will not operate unless the extended tab on the lid is correctly located inside the base slot and the bowl is locked into place on the base. Do not attempt to operate without the lid being in place correctly.

USING YOUR BABY FOOD BLENDER

  1. Remove the lid and place food in the bowl. Do no fill past the 250ml line.

  2. Place the lid on the bowl and turn to lock into place.

  3. Select the desired speed using the speed control dial for a few seconds until food is blended to the consistency you want.

  4. For coarsley chopped foods, use a repeated short pulsing action.

  5. For large amounts of food, you may need to blend in batches and the process will take longer.

  6. This blender is designed for a maximum running cycle of 1 minute. Do not run continuously for more than 1 minute.

  7. After running continuously for 1 minute, let your baby food blender cool down for at least 2 minutes before starting it again.

  8. After running 4 cycles, let it cool down to room temperature before using it again.

  9. Keep your hands and any utensils away from the cutting blade while chopping food.

  10. Make sure that the blade has stopped turning completely before removing the lid.

  11. Unplug your baby food blender then remove the lid and the plastic blade hub. Carefully pull the knife blade straight up.

  12. Remove the bowl and empty the processed food. Do not use the food blender bowl for storing food.

  13. If your baby food blender does not start, check that the bowl locking tabs are properly positioned, and that the lid is properly aligned. These parts are designed to lock into place.
