UV light is a fuss-free way for you to sterilise your baby’s feeding equipment.

All About UV Sterilising

UV or ultraviolet light is a fuss-free way for you to sterilise your baby’s feeding equipment. It kills viruses* and 99.9% of harmful bacteria – all without the use of chemicals, heat, or steam!

How does UV sterilisation work?

Short wavelength ultraviolet light (aka UV-C light) kills micro-organisms on the surface of an object by penetrating the cellular wall and deactivating bacteria.

It may sound like something from a sci-fi script, but UV light is actually regularly used to clean hygiene-strict settings such as hospitals, industrial kitchens, and laboratories – now you can use it to clean your baby’s bottles and soothers, too!

Meet our 3-in-1 UV Steriliser

Our 3-in-1 UV Steriliser brings the cleaning power of UV light into your home and makes it easy to get rid of lingering bacteria that can cause nasty tummy bugs.

It’s housed in a convenient unit and comes with four different functions – sterilise, dry, auto and storage mode.

  • Sterilise: Pop in your bottles, teats, soothers, and breast pump accessories and set to either 35 or 45 minutes.
  • Dry: Choose from 30-, 40- or 50-minutes drying cycle, depending on how many items you wish to dry.
  • Auto Mode: This 60-minute setting dries your cleaned bottles, then automatically switches to a sterilising cycle.
  • Storage Mode: This mode emits five minutes of UV light and five minutes of drying power every two hours to keep contents sterile. The UV light also helps to charge our glow in the dark products such as the night-time breast-like soother so that they glow for longer.

Thanks to this nifty piece of kit (that’s now available in black or white) you can sterilise and dry six bottles in 60 minutes, all with the push of a button!

Suitable for most brands of bottles, teats, soothers, and breast pump accessories, it filters out dust, pollen, and airborne pollutants. The unit has a long-lasting Philips® UV bulb that gives you up to 6,000 hours of sterilising power and can get into hard-to-reach areas. Its light shuts off automatically if the unit is opened while in use for your safety.
